Dear Colleagues and Friends:

The World Education Conference 2010 is a joint effort that seeks to significantly increase educational opportunities showing activities and initiatives worldwide. Our focus is on global collaboration, bringing together stakeholders to explore and share best teaching practices to help students and educators to improve and develop global competencies.

The conference will take place online from the 15-19 November 2010 in Elluminate (now Blackboard), Elluminate is a software that has the ability gather a lot of educators, where they can participate and listen to a speaker. The sessions are free, streamed live and in various areas (zones) in multiple languages \u200b\u200band will be available later in recorded format.

The conference has an International Advisory Council of Teachers of more than 90 members from different parts of the world, chaired by Julie Lindsay. The co-chairs of the conference are Lucy Gray and Steve Hargadon. Lucy Gray is an Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Teacher and founder of the Global Education Network, in collaboration (http://globaleducation.ning.com) consultant Steve Hargadon Elluminate and founder of www.learncentral.org, social network Classroom 2.0 (http://www.classroom20.com), and moderator of the future of education series (http://www.futureofeducation.com).

Currently there are 30 organizations have joined as partners of the Conference, including: New School, RIBIE Colombia, The Asia Society, the Center for Global Education, East Asia Regional Council of Schools in Exterior (EARC), ePALS, iEARN, TakingITGlobal and Classroom 2.0.
